Get the most out of Groups

From Luke Holderness, Creative Director

With the Groups module, you can add immense value to the digital experience of both your members and teams.

Attach documents to discussions, create special interest groups and member lists, and edit permission-based access for council or board meetings.

Tips for success with the Groups module:
  1. Seed it with content
  2. Draw attention to it using your other channels
  3. Serve relevant group discussions using special interest groups
  4. Use prompts to personalise the experience and regain lost attention - it's basically internal remarketing
  5. Show its value via promotions, and by championing it yourself

Think the Groups module could enhance your organisation's digital output and experience? Speak to your Account Manager about getting set up with this extension.

They are useful for adding value to  the user experience, alerting users to offers or deals, and driving conversions.

Tips for using the Announcements Module
  1. Target the right people at the right time
  2. Use the Rules Engine to only serve announcements to your target groups
  3. Utilise great design and eye-catching placement to make the right impact
  4. Test, test, test

Customise with the Content Library

Want to serve varied, dynamic content across a large site? The Content Library can centralise this process, saving you time and making your content management more effective.

Plus, enhance personalisation with the "content alternatives" feature. Define content rules and conditions to apply wherever the content panel exists across your site.

Tips for using the Content Library:
  1. Keep it simple
  2. Work in 'categories' (i.e Promotion 1, Promotion 2) then customise using rules and conditions
  3. Align your content strategy with your user journeys - content on certain pages may change during onboarding, after three months, and once the user becomes a member
  4. Review and test the efficacy of your rule/condition filters

Interested in getting the Content Library on your site? Speak to your Account Manager about getting this extension installed, and some training booked in.

Save time with the Table Planner

From Jon Small, Head of Operations

Used in conjunction with eventfolio - our event management solution - Table Planner allows you to easily create detailed seating plans for your event and offers intelligent sorting to save time.

You can configure the number of tables, amount of seats per table, table names, and even seat attributes (eg. which seats have their back to the stage, or have accessibility issues).

Tips for using the Table Planner
  1. Assign categories to attendees so you can filter and highlight them by type, letting Table Planner do the hard work (e.g. staff, VIPs, sponsors, presenters etc.)
  2. Make sure you're set up with eventfolio so attendee data syncs seamlessly
  3. Download a customisable HTML version of your final plan to display onsite for delegates: no internet connection required!

Table Planner could be the secret to smoother, simpler event planning. Get in touch with your Account Manager to discuss getting it installed.
