Taking care of every microscopic detail

Pixl8 have recently launched a brilliant new website for the Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM).  The website has been fully redesigned and is now powered by the ever popular Membership WebConnect CMS package developed by Pixl8.

Dr Lucy Harper, Communications Manager at SfAM speaks of the benefits of choosing Pixl8:

“We’ve enjoyed working with Pixl8 to produce a site with a clean and professional look and feel which provides a much more representative ‘window’ into SfAM as an organization. It’s great to be able to refer members and non-members to our new website with a sense of pride.  The flexibility of the new site means we can keep the content up to date in ‘real time’, and making changes is so easy that keeping the site relevant is no longer a time-consuming and weighty job."

The Society for Applied Microbiology is the voice of applied microbiology and is the oldest microbiology society in the UK. Its object is to advance for the benefit of the public, the science of microbiology in its application to the environment, human and animal health, agriculture and industry.

SfAM’s new website now offers loads of fantastic new features including a searchable members directory, online grant applications plus a great forum for their special interest groups.  These improvements are in addition to a completely re-architected website structure, introduced to make it easier for users to find what they’re looking for.

Dr Lucy Harper, explains the benefits of the project further:

"Since the new site went live, we’ve had some brilliant feedback from members, non-members and other membership organisations and now we’re looking forward  to developing the content and adding new functionality to the site so we can continue to provide all users with a really useful online resource.”
