A colourful addition to the Pixl8 portfolio

Pixl8 has just launched a colourful new website for the Society of Dyers and Colourists, built using our Membership WebConnect solution.  The site has been built to reflect the modern outlook of the society and offer improved levels of service for members, whilst enabling easy content management for staff.

The Society is the world’s leading educational charity dedicated to promoting and advancing colour science and technology worldwide. SDC’s primary mission is to communicate the science of colour through various events, publications and qualifications.  Originally setup in 1884, SDC has been representing it’s members and industy for over 100 years, and now has over 2000 members in almost 50 countries worldwide.  Benefits of membership include networking opportunities, career development and access to a wide variety of specialist resources.

Originally consisting of 5 different websites, a large part of the project was to enable the society to consolidate all 5 sites into one, whilst ensuring all information is easily accessible. This was achieved through intelligent website design and architecture together with a reorganisation of content by SDC.  The website also integrates with the newly implemented Protech Pro-8 member database system, which allows members to maintain their contact details online, helping the Society to ensure communication channels remain up to date.
